Founded in 1960, Toronto Finnish School has been a cornerstone of Finnish language and culture in Canada for 65 years.
On June 13, 2026, we invite our community, partners, and friends to come together for a special Gala Evening celebrating this remarkable journey, and honouring our past, present and future.
An Evening of Culture, Stories, and Togetherness
This anniversary is not only a celebration of longevity. It is a recognition of the volunteers, teachers, families, students, and supporters who have made the School a vibrant cultural home since 1960.
The 65th Anniversary Gala is a celebration of shared heritage and journey. The evening will feature Finnish music, dance, storytelling, and an exhibition that reflects the history, present, and future of Toronto Finnish School. We will gather to eat, drink, and spend time together - reconnecting with old friends and welcoming new ones.
Program
The program will include:
Live Finnish music, dance, and performances
Storytelling and reflections from different generations
A cultural exhibition
Dinner and time to connect.
